Work Environment

This full-time position allows you to work remotely from the comfort of your home while also collaborating with our office team. Our outpatient office facilitates comprehensive care coordination among health professionals, ensuring that our therapists can easily collaborate to provide shared and cohesive treatment strategies. While the standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, there may be flexibility required to meet patient needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, utilizing culturally sensitive techniques to understand each patient's unique background and experiences.
• Implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing diverse mental health concerns, enhancing resilience, and promoting overall well-being.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care strategies for patients.
• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate support and safety for patients in distress.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, discussing treatment options and helping them navigate available community resources.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation consistent with legal regulations and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate actively in case conferences and team meetings to improve collaborative outcomes and engage in ongoing professional training focused on cultural competency and best practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest research developments and emerging techniques in mental health therapy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse patient population, including clients from various ethnicities, sexual orientations, and cultural experiences. By understanding and respecting each patient’s unique background, you will provide culturally responsive care that addresses their specific mental health needs.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license to practice as an LPCC, LMFT, or LCSW in the state of California.
• A solid grounding in mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, demonstrating cultural competence in practice.
• Experience in providing both individual and group therapy within multicultural settings, using responsive and sensitive therapeutic methodologies.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills, with a proven ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure scenarios.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing the ability to connect and build trust with a diverse range of individuals.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications necessary for maintaining patient records.
• A steadfast commitment to upholding professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality, and establishing clear professional boundaries.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with communities of color, LGBTQ+ populations, and immigrant families is highly valued.
• Previous involvement in crisis management and intervention frameworks is preferred.
• Familiarity with contemporary methodologies and practices, particularly those that emphasize cultural sensitivity and responsiveness.

Compensation and Benefits
