Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health status during initial consultations and subsequent sessions.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on client assessments, goals, and evidence-based practices.
• Engage in regular one-on-one and group therapy sessions to provide ongoing support and therapeutic intervention.
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques when necessary to ensure client safety and stability.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment plans within our EHR system.
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists or specialists, when appropriate.
• Participate in supervision and team meetings to discuss cases and receive feedback.
• Stay current on best practices and emerging trends in mental health care through continuing education opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population of clients coping with various mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Our practice is dedicated to providing culturally competent care, recognizing the importance of understanding clients' individual backgrounds and experiences in treatment. You will play a key role in creating welcoming therapeutic environments that encourage open communication.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
• Extensive knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy with a focus on cultural responsiveness.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, with the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Competency in electronic health record systems and other digital tools to support therapy practices.
• A commitment to upholding ethical guidelines and maintaining patient confidentiality.
• A collaborative spirit, eager to engage with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a telehealth setting.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles.
• Experience developing treatment plans tailored to specific client needs.
• Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural factors impacting mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits
