Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations to devise appropriate treatment plans that promote recovery.
• Implement and modify patients' treatment plans using evidence-based practices, ensuring the highest quality of care tailored to individual needs.
• Utilize therapeutic exercises and modalities (such as manual therapy, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation) to relieve pain and restore functional mobility.
• Coordinate with physical therapy assistants to ensure they accurately adhere to established treatment protocols and provide necessary training and support.
• Document patient progress meticulously, including evaluations, treatment interventions, and responses to therapy, while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Regularly assess environmental factors that may impact therapy outcomes and work collaboratively to enhance home safety for rehabilitation efforts.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams, contributing to care plan development and adjustments to maximize patient outcomes.
• Provide education and vital instruction to patients and their families regarding therapy techniques and home exercise programs.
• Participate actively in team meetings to develop and review best practices within the therapy department.
• Adhere to company policies regarding documentation, scheduling, and communication within the clinical team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on adults engaged in rehabilitation from a variety of orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, arthritis, and other musculoskeletal issues. You will be instrumental in facilitating patients' return to their preferred activities through personalized care designed to promote independence and functionality.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid PT licensure in good standing for the state of Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centric approach to care.
• A strong commitment to professional integrity and ethical practice.
• Analytical skill set to assess clinical situations and make informed decisions.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in both acute care and outpatient physical therapy settings is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
