We are seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Physical Therapist to join our growing team at Masuda Movement Rehab & Wellness Center, an orthopedic outpatient practice located in the heart of Virginia Beach, VA. Our facility encompasses 5,000 square feet of state-of-the-art sports medicine space, equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technologies designed to foster recovery and support athletic performance. We believe in a collaborative approach where our team of two physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) work together to provide personalized care tailored to each patient's needs.

Work Environment

This full-time position requires working onsite at our rehabilitation facility, conveniently located in Virginia Beach, which offers a vibrant coastal lifestyle. Our normal operational hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical capabilities and identify their rehabilitation goals and healthcare needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage a case load of one patient per hour while maintaining efficiency and quality of care.
• Utilize alternative treatment modalities to minimize reliance on medications or surgical interventions.
• Enhance patient strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through customized fitness and wellness programs.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to achieve their maximum functional potential.
• Document treatment regimens, progress, and outcomes comprehensively using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like WebPT.
• Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of treatment strategies, adjusting them as necessary for each patient's needs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves patients requiring orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. We foster a supportive environment aimed at empowering patients, encouraging their active participation in treatment, and building trust to facilitate their healing process.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia, without any disciplinary actions on record.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop exercise regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience working with EMR software, specifically WebPT, which enhances the efficiency of patient management and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable.
• Hands-on expertise in manual therapy and advanced therapeutic modalities is a plus.
• Proven ability to create engaging and effective rehabilitation programs for diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
