Accounts Payable Specialist

Johnston Enterprises, Inc. , a diversified group of companies serving the construction, building materials, marine contracting, and foundation industries across the region,is seeking a full-time, experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This position reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is 100% onsite in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. This Position Offers: Monday through Friday daytime hours. No overnights or weekends. Weekly paychecks Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match up to 5% Company-paid life insurance Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all accounts payable, delivered in a timely and efficient manner. Enter invoices for payment and route unapproved invoices to proper personnel for approval. Prepare weekly payment runs. Record company credit card transactions. Maintain accurate records of vendor payments for 1099 processing. Follow up with vendors/subs calling for payment and maintain vendor inquiry log. Assist in the preparation and issuance of purchase orders and purchase order change orders as requested by Engineering Staff and Superintendents and input the same into the Accounting System. Secure signatures and track progress through to fully executed purchase orders Qualifications: 1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities Experience with billing and accounting software Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel Ability to prioritize, meet strict deadlines, and maintain confidentiality Conditions of Employment: Successful candidates must submit to a post-offer pre-employment drug screen Valid Driver’s License and ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record. #J-18808-Ljbffr
