This position is 100% remote, allowing for flexibility while still being part of a highly collaborative and supportive team environment. Our work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, evaluating the unique challenges faced by older adults and developing tailored treatment plans.

• Design and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other modalities focused on geriatric populations.

• Engage in individual and family therapy sessions that provide emotional support and coping strategies for both patients and their families.

• Work collaboratively with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to deliver integrated mental health services that address both psychological and physical health needs.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and connection to resources.

• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and community resources for additional support.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in all patient records.

• Participate actively in professional development activities, including continuing education opportunities and staying updated on advancements in geriatric mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain rapport with elderly individuals and their families in a therapeutic setting.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and relevant technologies for effective service delivery.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, alongside an empathetic approach to patient care.
