Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and their families, obtaining comprehensive histories to tailor treatment plans effectively.

• Deliver individualized and family therapy sessions grounded in evidence-based practices that address the unique needs identified during assessments.

• Prepare thorough documentation, including billing, treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

• Collaborate with clients to develop crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention strategies, and wellness plans aimed at fostering sustained mental health stability.

• Create detailed discharge plans that reflect patient progress and future steps in their mental health journey.
\n
• Maintain adherence to all federal and state laws along with NEHS policies, contributing to a safe and compliant therapeutic environment.

• Engage in continuous professional development through ongoing training and education, ensuring the maintenance of professional competence and skills.
\n
• Participate actively in case consultation and agency meetings to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration and client care approaches.

• Fulfill all licensing requirements and complete mandatory training to uphold the highest standards of mental health practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse clientele, addressing a wide range of mental health issues. Your client base will include individuals and families from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, each presenting unique challenges that require a personalized therapeutic approach. Your expertise will not only assist in resolving immediate concerns but also support long-term recovery and resilience among clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related discipline that qualifies for licensure.

• Candidates must hold an active license as a Mental Health Therapist in Kansas (LCPC, LCMFT, LCSW).

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in outpatient mental health settings or similar environments.

• Proficiency in a range of therapeutic modalities, and experience with multicultural counseling will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits\n
