Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions and group therapy sessions via our outpatient center, focusing on the unique needs of each child and family.

• Implement targeted interventions to address behavioral issues such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression, helping young clients develop skills for anger management and social interaction.

• Assist families in enhancing decision-making strategies, thereby improving in-home dynamics and reducing conflicts.

• Collaborate actively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, contributing to multidisciplinary treatment plans and care strategies.

• Maintain meticulous documentation such as intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational protocols and timelines.

• Participate in monthly team meetings to share insights, recommend strategies, and support peer development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will primarily work with children aged 3-20 who exhibit developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges, along with their primary caregivers. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.
