Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that essential mental health services are delivered efficiently. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychiatric nurses, to create a supportive environment that prioritizes the psychological needs of incarcerated individuals. You will adhere to a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and weekend rotations as necessary to provide comprehensive coverage of mental health services.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of inmates, considering their personal history and presenting concerns.

• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans that are tailored to address specific mental health issues and support the overall emotional well-being of inmates.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care, to address a variety of mental health disorders.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at promoting emotional regulation, personal development, and coping mechanisms among inmates.

• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment that respects the unique challenges of working in a correctional environment.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and assessing the need for higher-level care.
