Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' symptoms related to mood disorders, including the intensity, frequency, and duration of these symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their individual goals, preferences, and recovery paths.

• Utilize effective evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring interventions are tailored to each client's unique needs.

• Educate and support clients and their families on understanding mood disorders, exploring treatment options, and developing self-care practices appropriate to their situations.

• Monitor and track client progress arward, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to promote optimal outcomes and responsiveness to changing needs.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and comprehensive treatment.

• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in mood disorder therapies and treatments to inform best practice strategies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records while adhering to legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings, engaging in ongoing professional development activities to refine your skills and knowledge.

• Act as an advocate for clients, working to reduce mental health stigma and promote access to necessary resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients grappling with mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety symptoms. Additional client populations may include vulnerable groups such as individuals facing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, allowing you to make a significant and positive difference in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• Currently hold an active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
