Work Environment

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Holistic Wellness Center, you will work in a dynamic, supportive environment with an emphasis on teamwork and shared goals. Your primary responsibility will be onsite home care, where you will engage directly with patients in their living environments. Regular communication with multidisciplinary teams ensures that you have access to the resources and support you need to deliver effective interventions. The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, promoting a work-life balance that is vital for your personal well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' needs by reviewing their medical history, performing evaluations, and determining appropriate treatment plans tailored to their specific conditions.
• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols that align with current best practices, ensuring that interventions adapt based on each patient's progress and feedback.
• Maintain clear and thorough documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress in compliance with healthcare regulations and our center's standards.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient cases, treatment effectiveness, and potential modifications to care plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Provide patient education on exercises, body mechanics, and lifestyle changes that will contribute to their recovery and future health, encouraging independence and self-management.
• Ensure timely completion of discharge planning and follow-up care, providing patients with comprehensive resources and support as they transition from rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on orthopedic patients of all ages, including those recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic issues affecting their physical mobility. You will engage with a diverse clientele, offering individualized treatment plans that cater to their specific rehabilitation needs. By fostering strong therapeutic relationships, you will encourage patient participation in their treatment process, which is vital to achieving optimal health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required. A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current and valid licensing to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• CPR certification is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, with a focus on orthopedic care.
• Proven experience in patient evaluation and the implementation of therapeutic interventions in outpatient or home care settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms is an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

Holistic Wellness Center offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
