Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, assessing mental, emotional, and behavioral health based on established assessment protocols.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote healing and recovery.

• Monitor client progress continuously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure alignment with therapeutic goals.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to design comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Manage referrals to additional specialists and services when appropriate, thereby ensuring a cohesive treatment experience.

• Assist families and primary caregivers in navigating the complexities of mental health issues, providing them with tools and resources to support their loved ones.

• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay updated on the latest advancements in mental health practices and therapies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse client base experiencing mental health challenges including, but not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and as such, a culturally competent approach to care is essential. You will have the opportunity to develop meaningful therapeutic relationships that foster positive mental health outcomes and provide life-changing support.

Qualifications\n

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) in the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor with a solid understanding of various therapy modalities.
\n
• Strong proficiency in utilizing electronic health records, preferably with systems like AVATAR.
\n
• Considerable knowledge of co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, particularly related to substance use.
\n
• A commitment to continuous learning and familiarity with best practices as set out by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a community health clinic or similar setting.

• Familiarity with integrated care models and methodologies.
\n
• Advanced training in specialized therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or motivational interviewing.

• In-depth knowledge of pharmacology as it relates to mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The competitive salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually , complemented by a sign-on bonus.
