Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify the mental health needs of clients, formulating accurate diagnoses and comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual circumstances.

• Deliver evidence-based short-term counseling interventions utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and others that address a range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, addiction, and more.

• Engage in short-term case management by coordinating supportive services, ensuring clients have access to necessary resources throughout their recovery process.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide crisis intervention, including assessment of urgent concerns, de-escalation techniques, and coordination with the public mental health crisis response teams when required.
\n
• Assist in follow-up assessments post-crisis and work with external agencies to create prevention plans that support ongoing client well-being.

As a Mental Health Therapist at Sierra, you will work with a diverse client population, encountering a wide array of mental health challenges. Your role will involve supporting individuals, couples, and families from varied backgrounds, each dealing with distinct psychosocial stressors. Your expertise will contribute to improving their mental health outcomes through personalized treatment approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral science discipline (Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Professional Counseling) with required post-licensure experience.

• Current and valid licensure in your respective field as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.
\n
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working directly in clinical mental health settings.
\n
• Proven ability to provide therapeutic services to individuals and groups, demonstrating effective engagement and rapport-building skills.

• Thorough understanding of various mental health disorders and familiarity with the latest treatment modalities and practices.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, maintaining compliance with all traffic laws.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing therapy in outpatient settings with a focus on culturally competent care.

• Knowledge of telehealth practices and proficiency in using digital mental health tools to enhance client engagement.

• Background in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.

Compensation and Benefits\n
