Work Environment

This position is office-based, allowing you to work directly with patients in their homes. You will collaborate with a team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) in a supportive environment. The overall goal is to create a nurturing and effective therapeutic space where patients can feel comfortable and motivated to improve their physical health.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and address the objectives and needs of patients to formulate tailored treatment plans.
• Maintain a consistent patient load, ensuring dedicated one-on-one care for each patient per session, typically lasting one hour.
• Deliver a variety of outpatient orthopedic therapies aimed at enhancing patients' range of motion and functionality.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to minimize medication reliance and recommend non-surgical alternatives when necessary.
• Design and implement individualized exercise and wellness programs, paying close attention to each patient's specific requirements.
• Encourage patient progress by maintaining open lines of communication and providing supportive motivation throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care integration.
• Document all patient interactions and treatments thoroughly to track progress and outcomes effectively.
• Regularly evaluate treatment outcomes and adjust plans accordingly, based on progress or setbacks.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients who have undergone orthopedic procedures or require rehabilitation following injuries, chronic conditions, or surgical interventions. Our clientele predominantly consists of individuals with private medical insurance, and you will be instrumental in helping them navigate the complexities of their recovery process, which may include recovery from sports injuries, joint replacements, or other musculoskeletal conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Nevada.
• No record of board or disciplinary actions on professional license.
• Strong skill set in manual therapy techniques as well as exercise program design and implementation.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) software, such as WebPT, to document therapy sessions and monitor patient progress effectively.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of one year of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is required. Experience working in home care environments is a plus, as it provides valuable insights into the dynamics of delivering therapy in a patient's home.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
