Step into a dynamic school-based position where your expertise as an SLP-CCC will have a meaningful impact on students from PreK through 12th grade. This in-person, contract opportunity is designed to cover for a medical leave, commencing October 1, 2026, with the potential to extend through the end of the semester. An early start is available, allowing you valuable time to shadow the current SLP and ensure a smooth transition.

Bring your dedication and advanced skills to a diverse caseload of approximately 40 students, including some nonverbal children who benefit from low-tech AAC devices. Your ability to support varied communication needs will be essential in helping students achieve their goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
• New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) certification necessary
• Prior school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with low-tech AAC devices highly valued
• Comfortable working with a wide age range, including nonverbal students
• Commitment to in-person service (no remote or telepractice options)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to a diverse caseload
• Assess, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
• Document student progress and maintain compliance with state and district guidelines
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings as needed
