Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and emotional well-being, utilizing tools and methodologies that adhere to best practices.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA and relevant legal standards, ensuring that documentation is thorough and up to date.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and roundly address client's needs.

• Engage in continuous learning through participation in workshops, training sessions, and peer consultation to enhance clinical skills and stay current with the latest in mental health research.

• Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards as established by relevant licensing boards and mental health organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with a diverse range of clients, including individuals grappling with complex mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and psychotic disorders. Your expertise will also aid clients with urgent needs, particularly those who may present with risk factors related to self-harm or harm to others. We prioritize the quality and continuity of care for all clients, particularly vulnerable populations within the county jail system, advocating for their mental health needs within a holistic framework.

Qualifications\n

The successful candidate will possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. A current state license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) is required for this position. Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills coupled with effective communication abilities to foster therapeutic relationships.
