This role will be performed primarily through telehealth methods; therefore, an effective home office setup will be crucial for success. The mental health counselor will work closely with team members to ensure continuity of care and will participate in collaborative supervisions which emphasize learning and development.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions for clients, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's unique needs.

• Assess client needs and eligibility for treatment through comprehensive evaluations, ensuring that all services meet the designated medical necessity and DSM V diagnostic criteria.

• Develop psycho-educational workshops and family support groups, addressing various topics such as parenting skills and coping strategies for mental health challenges.

• Maintain accurate and timely case documentation, including client progress notes and treatment plans, to facilitate seamless communication and care coordination within the team.

• Adhere to billing and productivity standards by tracking and submitting the designated number of reimbursable service hours each week.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will work with a diverse client base primarily composed of adults and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and more. We advocate for a holistic approach to treatment, valuing the input and collaboration of clients in their own healing process. Qualifications\n

• A completed Master's degree in Social Work (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), or Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC) is required.

• Current associate or full licensure in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

• Strong organizational skills are essential, alongside the ability to manage case loads effectively while ensuring compliance with documentation requirements.

• Proactive self-starter with a demonstrated ability to take initiative in managing schedules, billable hours, and thorough documentation practices.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of 2 years of counseling experience is required, we prefer candidates with additional experience delivering telehealth services and facilitating group therapy sessions. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and experienced in billing practices within the mental health sector will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
