Director, AI Transformation

The Opportunity

Most AI consultants are good at one of two things: writing the strategy or doing the work. We need someone who refuses to separate the two. This role exists because our clients don't just need a roadmap - they need someone who will build the road, navigate the detours, and still show up to the steering committee with a clear-eyed point of view on where they're headed next.

• Lead AI transformation engagements end-to-end.
• Diagnose what's broken and what's possible.
• Design an AI-enabled workflow, pressure-test product decisions, and ship working prototypes.
• Own the outcome.

What You'll Own

• Client Engagement Leadership: Run AI transformation projects from discovery through delivery, serving as the primary client relationship owner.
• Strategy and Execution: Develop transformation roadmaps grounded in a client's actual constraints and see them implemented.
• 0-to-1 Product Building: Identify high-value AI use cases, prototype solutions, and shepherd them from concept to usable products.
• Executive-Level Communication: Translate complex AI concepts into crisp communication for boards, C-suites, and frontline operators.
• Go-to-Market and Growth Support: Contribute to business development and deepen relationships with existing clients.
• AI Tool Deployment: Apply AI tools across your own workflow and your clients' as a working standard.
• Internal Contribution: Help shape how Human Agency delivers, what we learn, and who we become.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of experience in management consulting, venture-backed startups, or product strategy.
• Demonstrated track record of taking AI from concept to working reality.
• Fluency with the AI tooling landscape.
• Proven ability to lead client relationships at the senior level.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in 0-to-1 product building.
• Bonus: Background in venture studios, high-growth AI or tech companies.

Logistics

• Location: Remote-first; US and Canada eligible.
• Travel: Occasional travel required for client engagements, company offsites, and key strategic meetings.
