This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive care that spans promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, intervention, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions. Working within our modern rehabilitation center in Keansburg, New Jersey, you will function as a key member of a specialized team, ensuring each patient receives tailored treatment plans that facilitate recovery and improve functional outcomes.

Work Environment

Our rehabilitation center boasts a spacious 5000 square foot area designed specifically for orthopedic physical therapy. You will be working onsite alongside a small team of two other experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). The collaborative environment fosters professional growth and encourages shared learning, enabling us to deliver the highest quality of care in an orthopedic outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patient needs and establish individualized treatment goals based on clinical findings.
• Manage a patient load of approximately one patient per hour, allowing for comprehensive and focused treatment sessions.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities to minimize reliance on pharmacological interventions and promote holistic healing.
• Design and implement customized exercise programs that enhance mobility, strength, and balance according to diverse patient requirements.
• Formulate and adjust treatment plans that integrate the latest evidence in physical therapy practices.
• Document patient progress accurately and promptly in compliance with regulatory standards, utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as WebPT.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their therapy journey, celebrating milestones and adjusting treatment strategies as needed.
• Maintain open communication with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our practice is on orthopedic conditions, catering to a diverse patient population that includes athletes in rehabilitation, postoperative individuals, and those suffering from chronic pain and mobility issues. Your expertise will be fundamental in guiding these patients toward recovery and improved performance, tailored specifically to their goals and lifestyles.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey with no record of board or disciplinary actions.
• Expertise in manual therapy techniques and the ability to thoughtfully integrate them into treatment plans.
• Experience in utilizing EMR software effectively, specifically WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated success in implementing effective exercise protocols and rehabilitation programs tailored to patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive annual salary range of $130,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience.
