Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand patients’ trauma histories, emotional states, and needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize recovery from trauma and foster resilience.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist patients in their recovery.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing interactive and engaging methods to help patients process traumatic experiences and develop essential coping strategies.

• Work in close partnership with psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide timely crisis intervention support for patients facing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about the impacts of trauma and equip them with practical coping tools and resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities designed to advance trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about the latest research developments and effective practices in trauma therapy to continually enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

At the Salvation Psychotherapy Center, our primary focus is on individuals affected by various forms of trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, making it essential for our therapists to approach treatment with individualized care that acknowledges each person’s unique circumstances. You will play a pivotal role in supporting them through their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Strong foundational understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with compassion and understanding.
\n
• Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in challenging situations.
\n
• Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and data management.
\n
• A collaborative spirit, with proven experience working effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, especially in settings that serve trauma survivors.

• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
