Client Partner – IT Staffing Sales (Plano / Dallas)

The short version
You will own VARITE's relationships with hiring managers at our client accounts in the Dallas region. Your week is spent in their offices: understanding what their teams are building, learning where they are short-handed, and turning those conversations into IT requirements that our recruiting teams fill. Your job is to make VARITE the first call a manager makes when a project needs people — and to keep widening our footprint, group by group, into teams and clients that do not use us yet.
We are looking for a specific kind of person: someone hiring managers like having around, who can hold a real conversation about an IT role without a script, and who already uses AI tools in their own day.
In addition to the above, you will also win new clients and increase VARITE's client portfolio.

VARITE is a San Jose–headquartered technology staffing and consulting firm with Fortune 1000 clients and delivery teams across the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, the UAE and India. We are an NMSDC-certified minority-owned business and hold Tier 1 supplier relationships directly with our clients, which means you will be talking to the people who own the budget, not to a procurement portal.

What you will do

• Spend three to four days a week at client facilities in Plano, Richardson and across the Dallas region, meeting hiring managers, delivery leads and program owners face to face
• Capture new IT requirements as they surface and write them up clearly enough that a recruiter can source against them the same day
• Qualify each requirement in the room: must-have skills, interview process, rate expectations, start date, and who decides
• Hold a technical conversation on equal footing — the stack, the team structure, and what "good” looks like for the role — so the manager does not have to simplify it for you
• Work with VARITE's recruiting teams in the US and India to get submittals in front of managers within 24 to 48 hours, and drive them through interview to offer
• Prepare consultants for interviews and stay close to them once they start, so problems get to you before they get to the client
• Penetrate new groups inside existing accounts: map which teams are growing, which vendors they use today, who the influencers are, and where VARITE is not yet in the room
• Win new clients in the Plano, Richardson and wider Dallas market through referrals, site visits and your own network, then hand them cleanly into delivery
• Use AI tools daily to research accounts, prep for meetings, draft follow-ups and keep your account plans current

What you bring

• Three or more years selling, farming or managing accounts in IT staffing, technology consulting or a closely related B2B services business
• Tech savvy: you can tell a data engineer from a data analyst, know what a Salesforce architect does all day, and can ask a technical hiring manager the right follow-up questions
• A track record of growing accounts you inherited and expanding them into new departments, not just landing new logos
• Comfort spending most of your week in front of clients in person, with reliable transport around the metroplex
• Hands-on comfort with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot or similar) as part of how you work, not something you have read about
• The kind of presence that makes a busy manager glad you stopped by
• Based within commuting distance of Plano, TX, with the ability to be on-site most days

Strongly preferred

• Existing relationships with IT leaders in the Plano / Richardson / Frisco / North Dallas corridor
• Experience expanding a single client from one group into several business units
• Familiarity with VMS and MSP-managed programs (Fieldglass, Beeline, Coupa)
• Technical Education (BS Computers, Electronics, Electrical, etc.), or strong technical experience.
