Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients to identify movement dysfunction, develop treatment goals, and record progress.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating various therapeutic approaches, such as exercise regimens, manual therapy, and the use of specialized equipment.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, providing ongoing feedback to patients and other healthcare team members.
• Adapt treatment plans and redefine goals based on patients' progress and feedback, ensuring an individualized approach to care.
• Provide education and training for patients and their caregivers on the use of assistive devices and techniques to enhance mobility and daily functioning.
• Stay current with industry practices by engaging in continuous education opportunities, attending workshops, and participating in professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population ranging from children to elderly adults, each with unique needs and challenges. Your expertise will not only focus on rehabilitation post-surgery or injury but also on managing chronic conditions through individualized and evidence-based treatment strategies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) and possess a valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey treatment plans and progress to patients and colleagues.
• Proficient in word processing and familiarize yourself with electronic medical records systems.
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle a variety of tasks and patient needs.

Preferred Experience
