Work Environment

The position is primarily based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Facility located in Herndon, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, diseases, or surgeries.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities, aiming to alleviate pain and restore mobility.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, making data-driven decisions to adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
• Guide patients in rehabilitative exercises, ensuring proper technique to maximize recovery efficiencies and minimize injury risks.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about therapeutic processes, self-management techniques, and the use of assistive devices where applicable.
• Engage in regular re-evaluation to reassess therapeutic goals and modify treatment approaches based on progress and emerging patient needs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest physical therapy practices through ongoing education, workshops, and professional networking.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role entails working with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric individuals. Our therapy interventions cater to a wide variety of orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, musculoskeletal disorders, and sports injuries. You will have the opportunity to develop strong therapeutic relationships with clients and see them progress through their rehabilitation journeys.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy, allowing practice in Virginia.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effectively interacting with patients and explaining complex concepts clearly.
• Basic proficiency in word processing, database management, and therapeutic documentation software.
• Ability to adapt and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced rehabilitation environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge or training in the latest physical therapy techniques and rehabilitation protocols.
• Prior experience working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits
