Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, taking into account patients' medical histories and current health conditions to develop tailored treatment plans.

• Create and implement evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions designed to address the unique needs of patients, using therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Collaborate closely with medical professionals, including primary care physicians and other specialists, to ensure cohesive care plans that are sensitive to patients’ psychiatric and medical complexities.

• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques during emotional or psychiatric emergencies, ensuring immediate support and safety for patients.

• Educate patients about the interplay between mental and physical health, empowering them to manage their conditions effectively.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation, adhering strictly to legal and ethical guidelines while ensuring compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

• Actively participate in team meetings and case conferences, contributing insights and strategies to enhance treatment outcomes.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in mental health care and integrated treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve primarily consist of adults and adolescents facing a range of mental health issues, many of whom have additional medical concerns. This requires a nuanced understanding of how psychological conditions may intersect with physical health, such as dealing with chronic illnesses, substance abuse challenges, and acute mental health crises.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California.

• Proven expertise in working with individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and medical issues.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this role is USD 115,000 – 130,000 annually, with the added incentive of a sign-on bonus of $3,000 for eligible candidates.
