Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments using trauma-informed methods to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history and mental health status.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's specific needs, focusing on trauma recovery and resilience building.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques—such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)—to engage clients meaningfully and facilitate effective healing.

• Offer both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process their trauma, gain coping strategies, and work towards their recovery goals.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care delivery aligned with best practice standards.

• Provide crisis intervention services and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing your skills to stabilize and guide clients through difficult moments.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and mental health resources available to support their journey.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation consistent with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Engage in case consultations and professional development activities to stay informed on current research and innovative practices within trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse array of clients, including adults and adolescents impacted by various forms of trauma. Your expertise will specifically aimed at assisting those with PTSD, complex trauma histories, and dissociative disorders, ensuring each client receives informed, thoughtful, and empathetic care tailored to their specific experiences and needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment practices.

• Demonstrable ability to deliver trauma-focused therapy with competence and sensitivity.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
