Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories and identify the most effective treatment approaches tailored to their individual needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, using evidence-based interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process their trauma, cultivate coping strategies, and encourage healing in a supportive environment.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professional teams to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for our clients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, utilizing your expertise to stabilize clients in distress.

• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, enhancing their understanding of the therapeutic process.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations.

• Continue to stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, actively integrating new knowledge into your therapeutic approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus primarily on individuals who are survivors of trauma, including those experiencing PTSD and complex trauma. You will engage with a diverse clientele who may have encountered a range of traumatic situations, and your role will be pivotal in guiding them on their journey to recovery through empathetic support and effective therapeutic strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within California.

• Strong theoretical foundation in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.

• Proficiency in therapeutic techniques specifically aimed at trauma recovery and resilience-building.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a personable and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

While the position requires a minimum of two years post-licensure experience, candidates with a demonstrated background in providing trauma-focused therapies will be prioritized. Compensation and Benefits\n
