Key Responsibilities\n

Your daily responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities aimed at delivering high-quality mental health therapy:

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate patients’ trauma histories, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their unique challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the specific recovery goals of each patient, utilizing evidence-based approaches tailored for trauma recovery.

• Utilize effective therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate meaningful recovery experiences for clients.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on helping patients process their trauma, cultivate coping strategies, and enhance their overall psychological resilience.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, case managers, and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring timely support and resources for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate both patients and their families about the effects of trauma, effective coping mechanisms, and resources available to support their journey.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, safeguarding patient privacy while facilitating effective treatment.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to collaborate on care strategies and stay current with developments in trauma-informed care.

• Commit to ongoing professional development and remain informed on the latest evidence-based practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on individuals who have experienced traumatic events and may struggle with mental health challenges stemming from these experiences. This patient population includes individuals navigating PTSD, anxiety, and depression, necessitating a therapist skilled in trauma-informed approaches and compassionate communication.

Qualifications\n

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred in a clinical setting focused on mental health.

• Thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders and knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities is essential.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Ability to maintain composure and calm in high-stress situations while managing diverse patient needs.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications.
