Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and sensitive assessments of clients to identify co-occurring disorders, utilizing various diagnostic tools and techniques.

• Develop customized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, integrating evidence-based therapies tailored to individual needs such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focusing on skill-building in areas such as coping strategies, emotional regulation, and relapse prevention.

• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists by participating in case discussions and treatment planning meetings to ensure cohesive care.

• Implement substance use monitoring practices and utilize motivational interviewing techniques to enhance client motivation and commitment to their treatment pathways.

• Educate clients and their families on the intricacies of mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the critical role of treatment engagement and adherence.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records that reflect client progress, therapeutic interventions, and necessary referrals in alignment with professional standards and legal compliance.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensing as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches specifically tailored for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A solid understanding of the interplay between mental health and substance use disorders, ensuring a comprehensive treatment framework.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, fostering a unified approach to client care.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

Compensation for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, reflecting the level of experience and expertise.
