Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients, identifying their emotional, mental, and behavioral challenges.

• Provide crisis intervention strategies tailored to individual patient needs, ensuring timely and effective response to acute psychological distress.

• Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare team members to communicate updates on patient progress, needs, and any emerging concerns or challenges.

• Maintain meticulous records of clinical sessions, ensuring all documentation, including progress notes, complies with departmental policies and best practices.

• Create personalized treatment plans in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team based on thorough psychosocial assessments.

• Lead discharge planning discussions that facilitate a smooth transition for patients post-treatment, incorporating aftercare resources and support.
\n
• Engage with community resource groups to enhance patient support options and represent the organization in relevant meetings and committees.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves adults experiencing substance use disorders or other behavioral health challenges in a detoxification setting. You will engage with patients from diverse backgrounds, requiring a culturally sensitive approach to understand their unique circumstances and enhance their recovery process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure in California as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of three years of experience in mental health counseling, ideally within a healthcare or substance use treatment setting.

• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, fostering effective interactions with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits\n
