Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible remote work setting, enabling counselors to engage with clients in a manner that is comfortable for both parties. Although remote, our team regularly collaborates through virtual meetings and integrated care support, ensuring all members are aligned in delivering the best possible treatment outcomes. The office hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility required based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate new patients' trauma histories and identify appropriate, tailored treatment methodologies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, resilience, and coping strategies.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate patient healing.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at guiding patients through their trauma processing, encouraging the development of internal coping mechanisms, and fostering a supportive community.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to create a holistic approach in patient care, ensuring continuity and integration in treatment.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention support during emergencies related to trauma and guide the patient in navigating their immediate challenges.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available support resources, enhancing their understanding and engagement in the healing process.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential patient documentation in line with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, including case consultations and team meetings, to strengthen trauma-informed approaches and learn state-of-the-art practices.

• Stay updated with the latest research, methodologies, and therapeutic practices related to trauma treatment for continual improvement in service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have endured trauma, including those coping with PTSD, complex trauma, and related dissociative disorders. Many of our patients may face challenges in daily life due to their trauma experiences. Your role is essential in creating a nurturing space for them to explore their pain, develop skills for resilience, and ultimately, work towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Licensure: Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly in trauma-focused care.

• Knowledge: Thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities is essential.

• Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, and the ability to perform effectively in high-stress situations.

• Technical Proficiency: Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications is required.

Compensation and Benefits\n
