Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history, enabling the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Design and implement individualized treatment strategies tailored to facilitate trauma recovery and resilience-building.
\n
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring that patients receive the most effective care possible.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to encourage patients to process their trauma, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and promote overall healing.

• Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, ensuring a cohesive approach to patient care that addresses all aspects of mental health.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, remaining composed and effective under pressure.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, various coping strategies, and available resources to foster understanding and support.

• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation as per legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring patient confidentiality.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care approaches.

• Stay informed about the latest research developments and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role involves working with a diverse group of clients who have experienced trauma, including survivors of abuse, neglect, and other significant life events. Your expertise will play a crucial role in their recovery journey as you help them regain control and foster resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• A strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that convey compassion and a non-judgmental attitude.
\n
• Ability to remain calm in high-stress environments, effectively managing crises when they arise.
\n
• Strong proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
\n
• Capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive work atmosphere.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly focusing on trauma-related therapies.

• Experience with delivering trauma-focused therapies, such as EMDR and TF-CBT, is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
