Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and medical assessments, including detailed history taking, following department protocols and guidelines specific to women's health.
• Demonstrate your advanced nursing skills by performing specialized procedures such as IUD insertions, Nexplanon placements, colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, and management of pessaries.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss complex cases, develop treatment plans, and share insights on patient management strategies.
• Provide advocacy for patients and their families, taking into consideration their physiological, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive needs in all aspects of care.
• Participate in coordinated patient care efforts, ensuring seamless communication and effective working relationships with the healthcare team, enhancing patient outcomes.
• Review and evaluate medical records to monitor follow-up care and placement of diagnostic orders under established protocols.
• Utilize electronic health records (EHR) and telecommunication systems for accurate documentation, monitoring patient progress, and facilitating effective communication with team members.
• Enforce patient safety principles, including maintaining confidentiality, risk management, and compliance with legal standards throughout clinical practice.
• Maintain composure in emergency situations, adhering to established protocols and promptly addressing any patient care needs as they arise.

Qualifications

• A current, active, and unrestricted Advanced Practice Nurse License in New York State.

• Knowledgeable and compliant with Medicare and Medicaid eligibility requirements for practice.

Compensation and Benefits
