Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments, including taking thorough medical histories and performing physical examinations to identify patient health concerns.
• Formulate and document individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and supervising physicians, ensuring clarity and communication throughout the treatment process.
• Perform daily patient rounds to monitor progress, address concerns, and adjust treatment protocols as necessary.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory work to inform healthcare decisions and improve patient outcomes.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that all specialties involved in a patient's care are informed and working towards shared goals.
• Provide discharge summaries upon patient discharge, ensuring patients understand prescriptions, follow-up care, and any referrals needed for further care.
• Educate patients about post-care instructions and preventive health measures to promote long-term health.
• Engage in related administrative tasks to maintain patient records and support overall clinic operations, adhering to the highest standard of confidentiality and compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with women from diverse backgrounds and age groups, addressing a spectrum of health concerns including routine gynecological exams, prenatal and postnatal care, menopausal support, and general health education. Your role is vital in promoting women’s health across their lifespan, ensuring they receive informed and tailored care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• National Board Certification in your specialty area is required.
• A current Nurse Practitioner license and Registered Professional Nurse license in the state of New York is mandatory.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems to document patient interactions and care plans thoroughly.
• Strong communication skills to build rapport with patients and effectively collaborate with healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in obstetric or gynecological settings, is desirable.
• Experience with acute care or prenatal care is highly valued.
• Familiarity with the latest evidence-based practices related to women's health.
