Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner at Buffalo OB/Gyn Specialists, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough and detailed assessments of adult patients, including obtaining medical histories and performing physical examinations.
• Diagnosing and managing a variety of acute and chronic health conditions while coordinating with physicians and specialists as needed.
• Developing, implementing, and modifying individualized treatment plans tailored to address the specific needs and preferences of each patient.
• Prescribing medications and therapies as allowed by licensure, ensuring adjustments are made to treatment plans for optimal patient outcomes.
• Providing education to patients about disease prevention, health maintenance, and chronic disease self-management.
• Performing medical procedures within your scope of practice, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to protocols.
• Documenting all patient interactions and maintaining meticulous electronic medical records to support continuity of care.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, ensuring a comprehensive approach to health services.
• Staying updated with the latest evidence-based practices and medical advancements relevant to adult healthcare.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner will care for a diverse adult patient population, focusing on individuals aged 18 and older, including those with complex chronic conditions. The role requires understanding various health issues prevalent within our community, from preventive care to the management of serious illnesses, showcasing our commitment to holistic patient care.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Adult-Gerontology.
• Active and valid state nursing license in New York.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; a Master's Degree is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
