Key Responsibilities\n

• Set your own availability while receiving compensation for late cancellations or no-shows, providing you with flexible income opportunity.

• Conduct individual therapy sessions using modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Collaborate with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that include harm-reduction strategies, catering to their specific recovery goals, whether it be moderation or abstinence.

• Engage actively with clients, employing strong clinical engagement skills to build trust and facilitate open communication.

• Lead optional support groups and participate in creating expert insights to enhance community knowledge and patient experiences.

• Utilize our administrative team for billing and scheduling, enabling you to dedicate your time to patient care rather than backend tasks.

• Participate in ongoing professional development, including obtaining Continuing Education Units (CEUs) annually, with costs covered by the organization.

• Access the Clinical Operations and Care Coordination teams for support and resource referral, ensuring holistic care for your clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on adults seeking to address unhealthy relationships with alcohol in a culturally sensitive, inclusive manner. Many of our clients come from diverse backgrounds and may have varying attitudes toward recovery, necessitating an understanding of community recovery models such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), SMART Recovery, and Moderation Management. As a counselor, you will be instrumental in guiding clients through their unique recovery journeys while integrating community support into their treatment plans.

Qualifications\n

• A valid LCSW, LCSW-R, LMFT, or LMHC license in the state of New York.

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with advanced training in CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed treatment preferred.

• A solid understanding of harm-reduction models and community recovery support options.

• Exceptional clinical engagement skills combined with a demonstrated ability to show empathy and compassion towards patients.

Preferred Experience\n

We offer a competitive annual salary between USD 80,000 and 100,000, with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
