Wellcure Mental Therapeutic Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our growing team. This full-time position is primarily remote with occasional visits to our outpatient office in Houston, Texas. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions with clients, either in their homes or within our outpatient clinic, focusing on tailored therapeutic approaches that address individual needs.

• Utilize effective strategies for anger management and the development of coping skills, engaging clients in meaningful discussions that aim to reduce high-risk behaviors, such as self-injury or aggression.
\n
• Enhance decision-making skills among adolescents and their caregivers through targeted interventions designed to improve family dynamics and behavioral management.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, sharing insights and recommendations to create a cohesive treatment plan for clients.

• Document all relevant clinical interactions, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and timely submissions.

• Participate actively in monthly meetings to offer and receive feedback, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position will be working with children and adolescents aged 3-20 who experience developmental and intellectual disabilities. Additionally, we serve families navigating challenges associated with these conditions, necessitating an understanding of their unique needs and strengths. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is mandatory.

• Active and unrestricted LMFT licensure is required.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, ideally from 4 pm to 7 pm, with some weekend flexibility preferred.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for home visits are essential.
\n
• Completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required for employment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in providing positive behavior support is highly desirable.

• Prior experience working with children aged 3-20, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), is a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n
