Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the specific needs of children and adolescents, applying child-specific evaluation techniques.

• Provide direct therapeutic interventions using diverse techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, and mindfulness approaches.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other professionals to design and deliver integrated care that prioritizes the holistic needs of our patients.

• Offer crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, equipping clients and families with immediate support and guidance.

• Educate families about various mental health conditions, potential treatment paths, and community resources available for additional support.

• Maintain timely and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all records are up to date and accessible.

• Engage in regular team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.

• Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in child and adolescent mental health, applying the latest insights in your therapeutic approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on serving children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and various behavioral disorders. Our approach emphasizes not only the mental well-being of young individuals but also involves engaging their families in the therapeutic process, recognizing the integral role of home dynamics in a child’s development.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• Thorough knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, as well as relevant evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Proven experience in delivering individual and family therapy tailored to young clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
