Salary Range: $53,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Otsego seeking Staff Accountants who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Support inventory costing and analysis, including variance explanations and cycle count reconciliation.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, such as expense reports and production cost summaries.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems)
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting principles
