Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Compassionate Counseling, your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities including:

• Conducting individual and group therapy sessions tailored to adult clients navigating various mental health challenges.
\n
• Performing comprehensive bio-psycho-social assessments to understand client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
\n
• Teaching coping strategies, social skills, and anger management techniques to help clients reduce risk behaviors and improve overall well-being.
\n
• Working collaboratively with other professionals—including doctors, social workers, and specialists—to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required records in accordance with organizational policies.

• Participating in monthly team meetings to discuss case studies, share insights, and collaboratively improve the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on serving a diverse adult population, many of whom experience complex mental health challenges. Our clients may include individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other behavioral issues. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or a related field.
\n
• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Clinical mental health training and field experience working with adults in a therapeutic setting.

Preferred Experience\n

While the following are not mandatory, having experience in the following areas will give you an edge as a candidate:

• Experience with developing treatment plans, setting treatment goals, and conducting initial assessments.

• Familiarity with various counseling methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Gestalt Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Care.

• Proficiency in using the DSM-V for assessments and diagnoses.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support and crisis intervention training.
