Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions and facilitate group therapy in our outpatient center, focusing on personalized treatment plans that cater to each child’s specific needs.

• Implement therapeutic strategies aimed at improving anger management, coping mechanisms, and social skills while working to mitigate high-risk behaviors such as self-injury or aggression.

• Enhance decision-making capabilities for both youth and caregivers, equipping families with strategies to navigate in-home behavioral challenges effectively.

• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and multidisciplinary professionals to create a cohesive support network around each child.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to established time frames.

• Participate in monthly team meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for program improvement and individual therapy approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on a diverse client population, primarily children aged 3 to 20 who are navigating the complexities of developmental and intellectual disabilities. The therapist will work closely with these young individuals and their families, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive in their everyday environments. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

• Must possess an active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 PM to 7 PM), with some weekend availability preferred.

• Experience in providing positive behavior support interventions is essential.

• A valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle are necessary for travel to client homes.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.
