Work Environment\n

This role is designed to be primarily remote, providing flexibility and convenience for both our counselors and patients. The work setting involves a virtual environment in which you will conduct sessions through secure telehealth platforms. Our practice embraces a collaborative atmosphere, encouraging open communication among team members to support patient wellness and program objectives. We operate on a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, although some evening shifts may be required to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of individuals seeking treatment, identifying their specific needs, challenges, and goals related to substance use.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques.

• Deliver personalized counseling sessions that incorporate motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic approaches, tailored to each client’s unique situation.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions to foster a supportive community among individuals in recovery, encouraging shared experiences and mutual support.

• Coordinate with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during substance-related emergencies, offering guidance and resources.
\n
• Deliver education to patients and their families on addiction, recovery strategies, and available community resources to enhance understanding and support.

• Maintain meticulous documentation that adheres to ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring confidentiality and integrity in patient records.

• Engage in team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights and strategies to improve treatment outcomes.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in substance use disorder treatment to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with adult individuals facing challenges related to substance use disorders. This population often requires compassionate support and guidance as they confront their addiction, work through past traumas, and develop new coping strategies. Your role will involve not only providing therapeutic support but also understanding the complexities of each patient’s personal circumstances, including their family dynamics and social contexts.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in providing both individual and group therapy focused on addiction recovery.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a strong capacity for empathy and non-judgmental support.

• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality while adhering to ethical standards.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications for documentation and reporting.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

• 1 or more years of clinical experience in a mental health or substance abuse treatment setting.

• Previous experience with crisis intervention and developing relapse prevention strategies.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, in addition to performance-based bonuses.
