Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while providing essential mental health services to clients across Macon, Georgia, and beyond. Utilizing a telehealth platform, you will conduct virtual counseling sessions, ensuring privacy and support for clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, clinical interviews, and risk assessments during virtual sessions to establish clients’ needs.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that are client-centered, integrating therapeutic modalities tailored to individual preferences and conditions.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using digital tools, ensuring an engaging and supportive environment that promotes participation and open discussion.
\n
• Monitor and document clients’ progress throughout their treatment, adapting strategies as necessary to achieve therapeutic goals effectively.
\n
• Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians and nursing staff, to create and enhance treatment plans.
\n
• Maintain diligent follow-ups with external psychiatrists and other referring practitioners regarding client care plans, particularly for clients requiring hospitalization.
\n
• Proactively assess clients for potential risk factors and behavioral impediments to recovery, providing timely interventions.
\n
• Educate and support family members in understanding mental health challenges and offer strategies for effective caregiving.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients range from adolescents to adults facing various mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, relationship challenges, and substance use issues. You will have the opportunity to work with individuals and families, fostering resilience and coping strategies that lead to long-term well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Georgia.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably in a telehealth setting.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to document treatment progress and client interactions.

• A strong understanding of addiction disorders and comorbid mental health issues, along with applicable therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Awareness of best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
