Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and accurate mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews and assessments, documenting all relevant case information from initial consultations to the conclusion of treatment.

• Analyze clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to identify areas of improvement and develop tailored intervention and recovery plans.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques to foster client participation and progress.
\n
• Monitor client progress consistently, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes and empower clients on their recovery journey.

• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including other mental health professionals and medical staff, to create comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Assist in managing referrals effectively, ensuring clients receive appropriate resources and services when needed.

• Support families and primary caregivers by providing them with insights and strategies to help manage their loved ones’ mental health challenges.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in psychotherapy, incorporating evidence-based approaches into your practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will encompass a diverse range of clients, from individuals facing anxiety and depression to families dealing with significant life transitions. You will conduct assessments with sensitivity to each client’s unique circumstances, ensuring that treatment plans address their specific challenges and goals. This role emphasizes creating a safe and nurturing environment for clients to engage openly in their therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• Must hold a current and valid state licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A minimum of 2 years of direct experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating expertise in clinical settings.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, with a preference for experience with AVATAR or similar platforms.

• Experience in dealing with co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, and understanding of addiction disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• An understanding of the pharmacological treatments prescribed by physicians and their implications for mental health care.

• Demonstrated exemplary written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
