Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Heart Share, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead engaging group therapy sessions designed to foster connection among clients. Help participants share their experiences, facilitate discussions, and create a space for learning and support.

• Individual Counseling: Provide personalized counseling sessions focusing on clients’ thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Equip them with coping strategies tailored to their unique situations.

• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive, goal-oriented treatment plans that reflect their individual needs. Utilize client feedback to enhance plan effectiveness.

• Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess clients’ progress through structured evaluations and feedback, adapting treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.

• Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work hand in hand with psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care that leads to optimal outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on young adults aged 18 to 30 who are seeking assistance for various mental health issues. Clients come to us for help with a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. As an LPC, you will be instrumental in inspiring hope and nurturing healing by creating a safe environment where your clients feel valued and understood.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in New Jersey.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory.

• At least one year of experience in a mental health setting, preferably working with young adults.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a particular focus on relationship-building and empathy.

• Proficiency in using virtual therapy platforms and electronic health records.

Preferred Experience\n

While one year of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in group therapy facilitation, crisis intervention, or administering evidence-based therapy techniques such as CBT or DBT will be given preference. Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
