This position is entirely remote, offering flexible work hours between Monday and Friday. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, focusing on the emotional, psychological, and behavioral aspects related to weight management, obesity, and binge eating.

• Utilize standardized assessment tools to identify mental health concerns and guide the selection of appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Deliver personalized one-on-one counseling sessions aimed at addressing the underlying emotional issues and behavioral habits that contribute to patients’ weight management challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each patient's specific needs, preferences, and goals.

• Educate patients on the psychological factors of weight control, including stress management, body image issues, and developing effective coping strategies.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote a supportive community environment, where patients can share experiences, gain insights, and encourage one another.

• Work collaboratively with a comprehensive healthcare team, which includes physicians, nutritionists, and physical therapists, to provide holistic care addressing both physical and mental health needs.

• Regularly evaluate and document patient progress toward achieving their mental health and weight management goals, adjusting treatment plans based on patient feedback and evolving requirements.

• Maintain proficient use of EPIC software to manage electronic medical records, documenting sessions, treatment plans, and patient notes with precision.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mental health counseling or a related field is required.

• A valid and unrestricted Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license to practice in the state of Washington.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to patients with empathy and clarity.

• Basic physical capability to occasionally lift or move up to 15 lbs, along with the requisite vision abilities, including close, distance, and color vision.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing mental health counseling specifically relating to obesity and binge eating disorders.

• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.

• Prior experience using electronic medical records systems, particularly EPIC, is a strong plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
