Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of clients to determine the severity and impact of their mood disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans that are aligned with their specific needs, objectives, and individual preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment and promote client healing.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, alternative treatment options, and self-care techniques, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health journey.

• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to client care that encompasses both therapeutic and pharmacological interventions.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance clinical knowledge and treatment strategies for mood disorders.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs, working to de-stigmatize mood disorders within our communities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Soul Space Mental Healthcare, your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. You will interact with a diverse clientele, including individuals from various age groups, cultural backgrounds, and socio-economic statuses. Our aim is to provide a safe and supportive space where clients can feel valued, understood, and guided toward recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess a current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, especially CBT and DBT.

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists for comprehensive patient care.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to create rapport with clients from all walks of life.

Compensation and Benefits\n
