The Vitality Wellness Therapeutic Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our telehealth team. In this full-time remote position, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to clients who have experienced trauma, ensuring they receive the specialized support they need on their healing journey.

Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, providing you with the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while supporting clients from the comfort of your own home. With a commitment to telehealth, you will engage in virtual therapy sessions using secure video conferencing tools that comply with HIPAA regulations, ensuring patient confidentiality and safety. While the primary schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, some flexibility may be required to accommodate the needs of your patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate each client's unique trauma history and develop tailored treatment recommendations.

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and build client resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, equipping clients with essential coping strategies to aid in processing trauma.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and comprehensive care tailored to each patient's needs.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive prompt and effective assistance.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources available for ongoing support.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards to support optimal client care.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on enhancing trauma-informed practices.

• Continuously update your knowledge of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance your clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients who have experienced trauma, and you will be working closely with individuals coping with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. It is essential to approach each client with empathy and respect, cultivating a safe space where they can explore their experiences without judgment. By offering evidence-based interventions tailored to their needs, you will play a crucial role in their recovery and healing process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in a mental health setting.
\n
• In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders and expertise in trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Demonstrable experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions that promote client recovery.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting compassion and a non-judgmental demeanor.

• The ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations and manage crisis interventions effectively.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications relevant to teletherapy.
\n
• Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to trauma-informed care.

Preferred Experience\n

While 2 years of experience is mandatory for this role, candidates with additional experience in specialized areas such as EMDR therapy or TF-CBT may be preferred. Familiarity with specific trauma recovery frameworks and ongoing education in mental health best practices will also be advantageous in this role.

Compensation and Benefits\n
