Life Wave Counseling Center is in search of a dedicated and culturally competent full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our team in providing exceptional mental health care. This remote position offers the chance to work within a supportive and effective outpatient psychiatry practice, where you will have the opportunity to directly impact the lives of individuals across a variety of backgrounds.

Work Environment\n

This position is remote, providing flexibility and convenience while maintaining the collaborative experience that comes from being a part of a team dedicated to mental health wellness. Our practice functions like a community health clinic, emphasizing inclusivity and support for both our staff and patients. While adhering to a typical Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM schedule, we appreciate the importance of flexibility to meet patients' needs when they arise.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments that identify the unique experiences of each patient, leading to the development of tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions that are customized to individual patients, acknowledging their cultural identities and personal histories.
\n
• Provide diverse therapeutic modalities including individual therapy, family counseling, and group therapy sessions to address various mental health concerns.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care approaches for patients.
\n
• Offer immediate crisis intervention, providing essential support during mental health emergencies to help stabilize patients.
\n
• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, available treatment options, and relevant community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient documentation in compliance with all legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
\n
• Actively engage in case conferences, team collaboration meetings, and participate in ongoing training on cultural competency.

• Stay updated on current research and best practices related to mental health, incorporating this knowledge into everyday practice.

Your role as a therapist will directly contribute to enhancing their overall well-being and access to effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within the state of Oregon.
\n
• A profound understanding of mental health disorders and familiarity with various evidence-based treatment approaches.
\n
• Experience providing therapy in culturally responsive settings, demonstrating an ability to connect with and support diverse individuals.
\n
• Strong crisis intervention skills along with the capacity to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-stress situations.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building rapport with a diverse client population.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications that support clinical practice.
\n
• A commitment to upholding professional ethics, including confidentiality and appropriate boundaries in therapist-client relationships.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, remaining flexible to meet clinic goals and patient needs.

• Previous clinical experience in outpatient settings, particularly with diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
