Work Environment

Our clinic is designed to offer a welcoming and modern space that prioritizes patient comfort and privacy. As a WHNP, you will be surrounded by a team of compassionate healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and support staff, all of whom work collaboratively to ensure the highest quality of care. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with occasional weekend hours required to accommodate special events or urgent patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of women’s health, including detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and necessary screenings to monitor health and development.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of women’s health conditions, addressing issues such as reproductive health, gynecological infections, menstrual irregularities, and menopausal symptoms.
• Provide expert family planning services, including counseling on contraceptive options, prescribing medications, and fitting devices as needed.
• Perform routine gynecological exams such as Pap smears and breast exams, ensuring early detection and preventive care.
• Manage and provide prenatal care services, monitoring fetal development, providing education on pregnancy and childbirth, and working closely with specialists when necessary.
• Educate patients on sexual and reproductive health topics, including STD prevention, fertility, and general wellness practices.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters and streamline the patient care process.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and outcomes.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in women’s health through continued education and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on female patients within the school system, ranging from young adolescents to adult women. You will provide tailored care that addresses the unique healthcare needs of this population, promoting optimal health through preventive care and education. Building rapport and trust with patients will be essential, as many young women may be accessing these services for the first time.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner or equivalent qualification.
• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Nevada.
• Board certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in women’s health settings, ideally with a background in primary care or OB/GYN.
• Comprehensive knowledge of women’s health issues, encompassing gynecology, reproductive health, and prenatal care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a school health setting or with young adult populations is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms will be an advantage.
• Participation in community health outreach programs related to women's health is favorable.

Compensation and Benefits
