Work Environment\n

This position is 100% remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. We operate primarily during standard business hours, Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with occasional needs for evening or weekend appointments to accommodate our clients’ schedules. Utilizing telehealth technology, you will connect with clients in a comfortable and accessible manner, offering various therapeutic interventions and support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for clients, which may include crisis intervention strategies, risk assessments, and medication management protocols.

• Timely completion of documentation that adheres to regulatory standards and clinical best practices, ensuring continuity of care.

• Utilize evidence-based screening tools to effectively address mental health issues pertinent to geriatric clients.
\n
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans that enhance the quality of life for clients.

• Actively participate in licensing and accreditation processes to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Serve as a liaison for clients to additional service systems, state agencies, and community partners, thereby enhancing our collaborative care model.

• Promote open communication channels within the organization and with external partners to further our community-oriented mission.

• Develop and maintain relationships with local, state, federal, and private organizations to secure funding and support for ongoing and new initiatives.

• Engage in professional development by attending relevant conferences, workshops, and state meetings related to geriatric mental health.

• Uphold and integrate the agency's mission, values, and ethical principles in daily practice.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support the ongoing development of our services.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on the geriatric population, providing essential counseling services tailored to the needs of seniors facing complex life changes, losses, and mental health challenges associated with aging. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play a critical role in helping patients navigate these sensitive issues, ensuring they receive the emotional and psychological support necessary to maintain their mental well-being.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.

• A minimum of four years of recent experience in geriatric counseling and mental health support.

• Demonstrated knowledge and additional training in topics related to geriatric mental health and aging-related challenges.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, with opportunities for salary adjustments as you advance and contribute to the agency.
